Sudeley Castle Cottages (Last Updated On: May 22, 2019)

Ever wondered what it would be like to stay in the grounds of one of England’s oldest and finest castles? Well, you don’t have to just wonder anymore…

Located in the picturesque Cotswold village of Winchcombe, Sudeley Castle is one of the most beautiful castles in the UK. Dating back to the 10th Century, Sudeley has a vibrant and illustrious history and is one of the few castles in England that is still a private residence. A sense of moving with the times while protecting its history and legacy is very much at the heart of Sudeley’s ethos today.

In line with this, the estate offers 12 fabulous converted cottages that are available for  holiday let exclusively through Bolthole Retreats.  Situated in their own private ‘village’ on Castle Street, just off the main high street of Winchcombe, Sudeley Castle Country Cottages make for an idyllic Cotswold retreat. While you are only a few paces away from the amenities of the high street (pubs, cafes, boutiques and corner shops), the cottages are peacefully located on the edge of fields, with a direct footpath taking you straight to the castle entrance. The cottages share a private and easily accessible car park, as well as offering all guests well-equipped kitchens, including Nespresso coffee machines, washing/drying facilities and modern bathrooms. There are even five dog-friendly properties, so your four-legged friends don’t have to miss out on the wonderful walking country that surrounds Winchcombe!

In addition, all guests staying in one of Sudeley’s cottages receive complimentary (other than separately ticketed events) day-time entrance to Sudeley Castle & Gardens during the open season. Guests are able to access the castle and grounds as many times as they wish during their stay.
