6 fun-filled things to do this November in the Cotswolds

(Last Updated On: 12th November 2019)

November in the Cotswolds is a beautiful time to visit…the air is crisp and the scenery is second to none as the trees put on their multi-coloured display. It’s a great time to book a Cotswold holiday cottage too, with prices significantly lower than in December. And if you love the build-up to Christmas, you can experience that too with Christmas light switch-on events and the start of the Christmas Market season. So, here are 6 fun-filled things to do this November in the Cotswolds…

  1. Cheltenham Racecourse November Meeting

Recognised as one of the major highlights of the British Jump racing calendar, the November Meeting returns to Cheltenham Racecourse from Friday 15 to Sunday 17 November 2019. Check out the details at the Jockey Club.

  1. Walk your dog for free at Painswick’s Rococo Garden

The beautiful Rococo Gardens are open for an extra month this year and they are welcoming four-legged friends too. The deal is simple – visit the Rocco Garden with a dog between 1 November and 1 December and they will admit one person per dog, free of charge.  Note that dogs must be kept on a lead in the Garden – not least because there are ducks and chickens roaming free! Find out more here.

  1. Kick leaves all over the place!

Now is a great time to head into the Great Outdoors for a lovely walk through the glorious countryside with its technicolour display of autumnal leaves. There’s nothing more than fun than kicking your way through piles of red, yellow and orange leaves. 1. Visit a Christmas Light Switch on
